Christmas Weekend
Bear with me as I am typing this with one hand - Brooke is snoozing away in the other arm. :-) We had a great Christmas weekend spent with family and friends. Of course, we spent a lot of time with Grandma and Pops who came on Friday from Indy. Brooke even got to spend 2 nights over at Aunt Rosa's with them...but it was Aunt Rosa who got up to do the bottle in the middle of the night!

Here I am all dressed up in my pretty, white Christmas dress from Aunt Rosa. Everyone church thought I was "just adorable!" Mommy & Daddy also got dressed up for church so we got our picture taken!
For Christmas, Grandma & Pops and Aunt Rosa bought me this AWESOME jungle animal train. Of course, Mom & Dad are having more fun with it right now than I am, but one day soon I'll be having a great time making it choo-choo all over the house!
Ahhhh...I was exhausted after all the fun Christmas activities! Our next fun event is a road trip to St. Louis next weekend to see Grandma. That sounds tiring too, but I can't wait to see her again!

Misc. Pics
Something about the purple outfit....
Here are a couple pics of our beautiful baby girl in this adorable purple fleece outfit she has. Unfortunatly, everytime she wears it something happens and it is quickly removed. The first time we were on an outing with grandma and needless to say we were changing diaper and outfit in the middle of Burger King...it's a long story...ask Grandma. :-)
Today, I put her in it and she just looked too cute, so I decided to take some pics. As soon as the camera came out so did the tears (she does cry, aunt rosa). Then I was just finished feeding her and was talking to Grandma on the phone when all the of the sudden the entire bottle came back up all over her, the outfit, me and the chair we were sitting in. That's what I get for trying to put her in a cute outfit, huh? :-)

Sunday Dress

Here's a pic we took this morning of Brooke all dressed up ready for church. Aunt Rosa & Grandma picked out this little blue dress last week for her and Grandma got the hairbow for her. Isn't she too cute?
Grandma and Grandpa had to go home today which was really hard for everyone, but we really enjoyed being able to have Grandma with us for 2 whole weeks after Brooke's birth. She was a HUGE help! See you in 2 weeks, guys!

Been a few days
Sorry for the length of time between blogs...had some password issues! :-) Brooke is now almost 2 weeks old and doing very well. She went to the dr. yesterday and has already grown a whole inch! She is sleeping very well in the evenings now, for which we are grateful. We are enjoying being able to watch her grow and change everyday. The faces she makes are so funny and at time incredibly like her parents.
What an amazing little person the Lord has intrusted to us and we thank Him everyday for the miracle of life.
More to come soon...

She's Here!!!

Sorry for the lateness of this post...we didn't have internet access at the hospital. Monday night at 10:00 Brooke Renae was born. I had a dr. appt Monday around noon and had started contractions and was dialated to a 3. So we headed to the hospital and by 10:00 she was here.
She weighed 8lbs, 9oz and is 20" long. She has some hair on top of her head and more on the back of her head. She is absolutely gorgeous...well, at least we think so. :-)
We just got home from the hospital a couple hours ago and are settling in. It was nice to get home before the bad weather hits.
If you haven't come to see Brooke yet and want to, feel free to give us a call and come on over to the house to visit with her...she would LOVE to meet you!

Still waiting
Well, we are now at 39 weeks, 1 day and still waiting. We made a run to the hospital earlier in the week but came right back home. Brooke is still moving around a bit but as she grows the movements are stronger and more defined. At times my belly looks like a rollercoaster. :-)
Yesterday was Thanksgiving and we had a great time with family. We did lunch at Joel's bro's house and then had "Christmas" for all the nieces and nephews. It was fun to watch all the kids and wonder how Brooke will fit in and what she will look like.
My folks drove in from Indy yesterday, so last night I went over to Rosa's for dinner and to spend some time with them. We are doing our Thanksgiving dinner with them today.
Sometimes when things don't seem to be going the way we would like for them to be or as quickly as we would like, it's easy to sit back and say we have nothing to be thankful for. But that is not true. Everyday there are small things that happen that we should be thankful to the Lord for doing in our lives.
That's all for now...will update soon!

Any day now....

Here are a couple pics of Joel working in Brooke's bedroom. There is a mural painted in the corned of a jungle tree with a monkey and a giraffe...all wonderfully done by Judy Brammer.
Welcome to our blog. We hope to keep this updated with info about our little girl who is scheduled to arrive any day now. :-) Brooke Renae's due date is November 30 but we have started the watch party for her already. I (Sarah) am probably the most anxious for her to be here as I have discovered the 8th month of pregnancy isn't a barrell of fun. But I know Brooke's daddy is ready for her to be here too...in fact, he tells her that alot.Thanksgiving is one week from today and we are looking forward to spending time with both of our families that weekend. My folks will be home from Indy (their first official trip home since moving into their new home). Joel's family is all gathering at his bro's house and we are anxious to see how all 10 of the niecies and nephews have grown.
Happy Holidays,
Sarah
