4 months today!

Today Brooke turned 4 months old. Pretty hard to believe! The top 2 pics were taken in our photo studio and the bottom was done during a senior picture shoot at Unity Village. No, Brooke wasn't the Senior, but she got to tag along...and we couldn't resist getting that little smile! Quick story about the green frog...we found it at Kohls the other day when we were shopping with Aunt Rosa. The thing squeaks if you push it's belly in. Well, Brooke laughed her head off at it while in the store so we spent an arm and a leg on it....get it home and all of the sudden it's not so amusing! :-)

3.5 months!

Sorry it's been so long since we posted pics of Brooke. She's been growing and laughing and learning new things everyday! What a joy to see God's handiwork in the form of a new life!Brooke does not like to sleep on her back...one day she was laying in her crib watching her mobile and it got really quiet in there, so I went in and she had fallen asleep on her back!
She LOVES standing - so much that she wears our arms out. So we got out the Johnny Jump Up thing even though it's a bit big for her. We watch her close and she just loves bouncing around in it!
Yesterday we got one of those foam chairs with the funny name and here is Brooke trying it out for the first time. She seems to really like it...doesn't she look like a big girl!!!

Playing with Nana

Nana ended up staying in KC for 3.5 weeks this past time so Brooke spent ALOT of time with her. Here are a couple of pics of the 2 of them playing! Nana tried to teach Brooke to stand in her crib. :-)

Surgery

Thanks to all who prayer yesterday as I had gallbladder surgery. The surgery went very well and I was home resting by 4:00 yesterday afternoon. My tummy is a bit sore today but I feel much better. Just have to deal with a nagging husband and mom who have decided I shouldn't do a single thing!
Thanks for the prayers....looking forward to spring!

Party 4 Parents

Saturday evening we threw an informal open house party for my folks. It was suppose to happen before they moved far, far away but I was extremely pregnant by the time that happened. So instead, we had a video of their new home and celebrated my mom turning 50!

It was a rough day for Brooke, but she came through a trooper and was, of course, the star of the party! Who wouldn't love her?!?!?

3 months old!!!

Although it is hard to believe, Brooke turned 3 months old on Tuesday. We built a photo studio in our basement this month and so Brooke got to be the first to try it out! She did a great job!
It's been so much fun to watch her change this past month...she'll smile at her mommy & daddy all the time now and laughs if we work hard enough for it. She discovered her hands and love to stick her whole fist in her mouth.
Right now her Nana is here from Indy until after Sarah's gallbladder surgery on March 9th. Brooke loves spending time with Nana and Nana love talking to Brooke!

Visit from Linda

Sorry for the length of time between posts...our lives have been more than crazy lately. A few weeks back a good friend of ours, Linda Kimball, stopped in for a visit while she was in town. Linda moved to Texas a few years ago and we miss her. She had never met Brooke. Thanks for coming to see us, Linda!
