Fingers & Toes

Everyone is always talking about my long fingers and toes, and I finally cooperated and let mom take some pics of them today. Think I'm going to be tall like my daddy?

1 month old today!

Well, today is my birthday!!! Kind of...today I am one month old! It's so hard to believe I've been here in this big world a whole month now. Since it was a big occasion, mom took a bunch of pics of me today. Notice the pretty purple outfit...thanks, Grandma!

Write to me!!!

Ok, so I keep hearing that all these people are looking at the blog but no one is writing to me! I would to hear how cute you think I am, so click down there on that little COMMENTS button!

Christmas Weekend

Bear with me as I am typing this with one hand - Brooke is snoozing away in the other arm. :-) We had a great Christmas weekend spent with family and friends. Of course, we spent a lot of time with Grandma and Pops who came on Friday from Indy. Brooke even got to spend 2 nights over at Aunt Rosa's with them...but it was Aunt Rosa who got up to do the bottle in the middle of the night!

Here I am all dressed up in my pretty, white Christmas dress from Aunt Rosa. Everyone church thought I was "just adorable!" Mommy & Daddy also got dressed up for church so we got our picture taken!

For Christmas, Grandma & Pops and Aunt Rosa bought me this AWESOME jungle animal train. Of course, Mom & Dad are having more fun with it right now than I am, but one day soon I'll be having a great time making it choo-choo all over the house!

Ahhhh...I was exhausted after all the fun Christmas activities! Our next fun event is a road trip to St. Louis next weekend to see Grandma. That sounds tiring too, but I can't wait to see her again!

Santa

Today we took Brooke to have her picture taken with Santa Clause (aka Darrell Brammer). She did remarkably well for all we put her through. Well, expect when we took her clothes off and she decided to go potty on Mommy...that wasn't really good times. :-)

Misc. Pics

Here are several pics from this week. The first one is of Brooke's first "real" bath...well, in the sink that is. She was finally able to get something other than a sponge bath and as you can tell by the look on her face, she wasn't a happy camper. But aren't the rubber duckies cute? :-)

The next pic is of the pacifier. The only reason we're posting this is because she usually HATES the pacifier but for some reason last night she finally took it. It was short-lived quiet around our house...this morning I tried it and she promptly spit it right out.

Sorry for all the week stomach people who are reading this. But seeing as how yesterday was his birthday, I decided to put Joel's deer on the blog. He shot this on Tuesday! Way to go, Daddy!

Something about the purple outfit....

Here are a couple pics of our beautiful baby girl in this adorable purple fleece outfit she has. Unfortunatly, everytime she wears it something happens and it is quickly removed. The first time we were on an outing with grandma and needless to say we were changing diaper and outfit in the middle of Burger King...it's a long story...ask Grandma. :-)
Today, I put her in it and she just looked too cute, so I decided to take some pics. As soon as the camera came out so did the tears (she does cry, aunt rosa). Then I was just finished feeding her and was talking to Grandma on the phone when all the of the sudden the entire bottle came back up all over her, the outfit, me and the chair we were sitting in. That's what I get for trying to put her in a cute outfit, huh? :-)

Sunday Dress

Here's a pic we took this morning of Brooke all dressed up ready for church. Aunt Rosa & Grandma picked out this little blue dress last week for her and Grandma got the hairbow for her. Isn't she too cute?
Grandma and Grandpa had to go home today which was really hard for everyone, but we really enjoyed being able to have Grandma with us for 2 whole weeks after Brooke's birth. She was a HUGE help! See you in 2 weeks, guys!

Been a few days

Sorry for the length of time between blogs...had some password issues! :-) Brooke is now almost 2 weeks old and doing very well. She went to the dr. yesterday and has already grown a whole inch! She is sleeping very well in the evenings now, for which we are grateful. We are enjoying being able to watch her grow and change everyday. The faces she makes are so funny and at time incredibly like her parents.
What an amazing little person the Lord has intrusted to us and we thank Him everyday for the miracle of life.
More to come soon...
Sarah
